Sustainable Seafood Website Design & Interaction Direction
Revolution Fisheries
Role
Website Designer
Scope
Website design, visual direction, information structure, responsive layouts, transitions, and interactions.
Focus
Storytelling, navigation, sustainability messaging, product discovery, trust signals, and motion design.

The Product
Revolution Fisheries is a Western Australian seafood supplier focused on wild, local, ethically handled fish for restaurants and food businesses.
I designed the website experience, including the page structure, visual direction, navigation, storytelling sections, and transitions/interactions.
The old site had the right information, but it was presented as plain text with weak graphics, poor navigation, and no clear story. The redesign turned that information into a more visual, structured, and trust-led website.
Website Strategy
The site was structured around the strongest proof points:
- Fresh local catch
- Ethical handling
- Cold-chain integrity
- Sustainable stock management
- Direct freight
- Restaurant-ready quality

Interactions & Transitions
I designed transitions and interactions to make the site feel more alive without distracting from the content. The motion supports scrolling, section changes, product discovery, and visual storytelling, especially around the catch, values, partner logos, and freshness sections.
Collaborations & Community
The site highlights partnerships with chefs and venues that use Revolution Fisheries' catch, from bycatch-driven collaborations to restaurant feature stories, giving the brand social proof beyond its own claims.
Visual Direction
The design uses strong seafood imagery, bold typography, large product visuals, and clear section transitions to make the brand feel more confident and established.
The goal was to move away from a flat supplier website and create something closer to a premium food brand, without losing the practical information restaurants need.
About Us
The About Us page carries that story: a family-owned Western Australian business built from a lifelong love of fishing, diving, and the sea into a mission to share the finest, freshest seafood from the region.
Our Catch
The Our Catch page walks through what "wild, local, line-caught" means in practice, the story behind Revolution Fisheries' waters, the family history shaping it, and the key species harvested along Western Australia's coastline, from inshore snapper to deep-water dhufish.
Sustainability
The Sustainability page expands on the ocean-friendly fishing methods introduced earlier, certified and responsible fishing practices, marine stewardship, and the ethical handling standards behind every catch.
Testimonials
The Testimonials page brings in social proof: customer and chef testimonials, awards (including the 2024 Harvey Norman Delicious Produce Awards), and press coverage.
Outcome
The redesign gave Revolution Fisheries a website that feels more structured, more visual, and easier to understand. It turned plain business information into a clearer story about freshness, ethical handling, local sourcing, and reliable supply for restaurants and food businesses.
Reflection
This project was about giving the business a clearer voice online. The work was not about adding more content. It was about making the existing story easier to see: where the fish comes from, how it is handled, why freshness matters, and why food businesses should trust the supplier.
